Modeling Modern USN Jets Come join The Model Geeks for a session on modeling modern US Navy jets. They'll share their experience from the flight deck, explore available kits, and walkthrough painting and weathering steps that can be used to recreate a realistic finish. 


Early counter IED devices1, vehicle armor (aka hillbilly armor), and uniforms used by the US Army in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2003 to 2005. It's about an hour long and is in PowerPoint format. I can cut the time to about 40 minutes or extend to 90 minutes.

Armor Model Painting Join TJ Haller, Ivan Jensen Taylor, and John Bonanni for Part 1 of an armor finishing series. This segment will focus on everything from primer to the initial steps of preweathering. They will examine different approaches to airbrushing and preferences for paint mixes. Additionally, they will walk through airbrushing elaborate schemes, post shading, and compare the latest brands of paint.

Armor Model Weathering Stop by for Part 2 and harness the power of oil paints, enamels, and pigments for scale model weathering. These versatile mediums can add a variety of effects to achieve realistic and artistic finishes with weathering products, colors, and techniques. They will demonstrate different techniques (wash, filter, streaking, speckling, and OPR) and pass around examples to create an open discussion
